An online beta proves that a user problem may be real. It does not automatically prove that the same architecture is ready for dedicated hardware, intermittent connectivity, firmware releases, multiple markets, or long-term support. The first job is to separate what is already valuable from what must be rebuilt.
Audit the beta before choosing the architecture
Start with the current user journey, account model, data ownership, processing states, storage boundaries, and operational evidence. A viable beta can remain the product foundation when its identity, tenancy, security, data model, and deployment practices can support the intended hardware program. A clean server foundation is usually safer when those boundaries are unclear or expensive to repair.
The decision should be recorded before feature development begins. It affects device identity, mobile onboarding, retry behavior, deletion, observability, and every public integration.
Treat the device as part of a system
Dedicated hardware introduces states that a web-only product may never encounter: pairing, local storage, partial transfer, interrupted upload, firmware compatibility, and a device that remains offline for hours. Native iOS and Android applications must represent those states accurately instead of hiding them behind a single progress indicator.
A production program therefore defines durable identifiers and restart-safe transitions across device, app, and server. A transfer can retry without duplicating a Note. An asynchronous job can recover without losing its source. A user can distinguish local capture from cloud processing.
Publish only the claims the final product can support
Battery life, call recording, compatibility, radio behavior, certification, and acoustic quality depend on the agreed enclosure, firmware profile, phone combinations, and target market. A proven platform shortens the path, but project-specific validation still determines the final public claim.
The useful outcome of Discovery is not a long feature list. It is an agreed product boundary, an evidence plan, and a sequence of gates that lets the team move quickly without converting assumptions into promises.
Choose the next step
Review the OEM and ODM delivery process, the AI08 recorder platform, and the Apps and cloud capability. A project brief should describe the target market, the customer problem, the existing beta, and the responsibilities your team can own locally.
